STEP 1: Register Your Company With CARB

All fleet owners and independent owner-operators must create an account in the CARB Clean Truck Check system (CTC-VIS).

Required for every heavy-duty vehicle, even if you are already registered with DMV.
You must register before you can test or renew registration.

STEP 2: Add Each Vehicle and Pay the $32 CARB Compliance Fee

This is the most commonly missed step.

DMV registration does not count as CARB program enrollment.
CARB requires a separate $32 per vehicle fee uploaded through the CTC-VIS system.
If you skip this step, your vehicle will show as non-compliant and could be blocked from registration.
